Nephele aequivalens subsp. damasioi
Diagnostic description:
Distinguished from the nominotypical subspecies by its smaller size (wingspan: males 90mm, females 95 mm; compared to around 100mm, and up to 125mm for some large females in the nomiotypical subspecies), the much darker upperside ground colour (especially in fresh specimens) and the paler underside ground colour with a more purplish tone and somewhat weaker transverse lines.
