Cephonodes armatus
Diagnostic description:
Upperside deep green when fresh, fading to yellowish-green; similar to Cephonodes janus janus but abdominal segments 5 and 6 each with a small lateral red spot, or segment 5 with a complete red belt. Foretibia with an apical claw. Underside of abdomen yellow, greyish mediallyand laterally reddish. Forewing upperside with marginal band about 1 mm broad at Rs4.
Male genitalia: Very similar to Cephonodes picus but right valve more sharply truncate and inner edge less rounded.
