Chloroclanis virescens
Male; Upperside of body and forewings shades of green when fresh but fading easily to ochre yellows and browns with age and exposure to high humidity. Forewing distinctly triangular, with a straight outer margin and a pointed apex. Forewing upperside shades of green; antemedial line and postmedial line relatively well developed, other transverse lines weak. FWL: 28-30 mm.
Female: Larger and longer winged than the male; forewing apex strongly acuminate. Upperside of body and wings very dark olive green when fresh, but fading easily to dark ochre and browns with age and exposure to high humidity.
Male genitalia: Uncus short, basally broad, tapering very suddenly to a downcurved point. Gnathos comprising two long, narrow, pointed lateral blades. Saccus short, broad, rounded. Juxta with two sharp upright spines. Valve entire, rounded, membranous, ventro-distal margin with irregular tubercles; stridulatory scales absent. Harpe a large, strong, smooth, sharp, upcurved spine. Phallus short, straight, apically rounded, armed with a strong pointed subapical process directed upwards and at right angles to the long axis of the phallus.
