Coelonia solani
Similar to Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata but greyer. Forecoxal androconial organ small, less conspicuous than in Coelonia fulvinotata. Foretarsus longer than in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata but with shorter scales. Foretarsomeres with longer apical spines than in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata, with fewer outer spines. Abdomen with lateral patches nearly white, not yellow as in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata. Hindwing upperside with entire basal half yellow; only two, small, oblique black streaks, one at the base of CuA2, the other at 1A near the black medial band. Hindwing underside with base and inner margin white, not yellow as in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata.
Male genitalia: Uncus of even width (in dorsal view) from near base to beyond halfway, then quite suddenly narrowed, but of even width to truncate apex; dorsal surface projecting apically; apex appearing toothed in lateral view. Gnathos longer than in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata, broadly rounded apically. Valve more oblique ventro-distally than in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata, with an elevated patch of spiniform setae that nearly reaches the costa. Harpe with three processes: two corresponding to those of Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata, both long and pointed; the third shorter, ventral, almost straight, pointing dorso-apically.
Female genitalia: Ostium bursae covered with a rounded flap (not divided as in Coelonia fulvinotata fulvinotata), longitudinally wrinkled.
