Erinnyis guttularis
Transferred to Erinnyis by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 362 (key), 371. There is a specimen in the USNM labelled "Colo"; Hodges, 1971, in Dominick et al.Moths Amer. N. of Mexico21: 102, considered this a questionable record.
The smallest species of the genus. Hindwing upperside almost uniformly brown, orange colour of the other species vestigial (similar to Erinnyis lassauxii form lassauxi but much paler). Anal area of hindwing underside white. Forewing upperside similar to that of female Erinnyis ello ello but with a narrow median longitudinal black streak evident. Harpe not spatulate, slightly acuminate, somewhat twisted, resembling the blade of a knife.Row of setae on right side of aedeagus long, setae strong but not numerous; row on left side short.
