Erinnyis obscura conformis (Taxonomy)
Morphology:
As Erinnyis obscura obscura but much less sexually dimorphic. Thorax uniform grey, as in the female. Forewing upperside as Erinnyis obscura obscura but lacking the longitudinal dark streak, making the male closely resemble the female. Hindwing upperside as in Erinnyis obscura obscura but apical half of marginal band darker and postmedian line of spots more distinct. Wingspan: average = 58.3 mm (n = 48, Isla Santa Cruz, Isla Santa María) (average = 62.4 mm, n= 24 Erinnyis obscura obscura). As in Erinnyis obscura obscura and showing similar variation in the shape of the harpe.
