| Abstract: | "In this paper, some Heterocera material from various islands of the Philippines of the Cesa collection are evaluated faunistically. Totally 268 species of 20 families are listed with their synonymy, original references, and distributional information. A large number of new faunistical records for various islands are mentioned. Similarly, 18 species are reported here as new for the fauna of the Philippines. Taxonomically, a new species of the genus Singara is described. Faunistic, taxonomic and nomenclatural remarks are added to some taxa. Various status of the genera Hoploscopa, Parotis, Sciorista in Pyraloidea are discussed from nomenclatural, taxonomic and morphological standpoints. At the end of the paper, faunal lists of Luzon, Negros, Mindanao, Leyte, and Palawan islands are added." |
