Neopolyptychus spurrelli

Male genitalia: Similar to those of Neopolyptychus ancylus but: Dorsal apical process of valve in dorsal view somewhat expanded and bluntly rounded apically; a distally spinose, narrow based and distinctly projecting lobe present on its inner edge basally; in lateral view slightly recurved anteriorly and bluntly pointed. Ventral apical process of valve larger.
Female genitalia: As Neopolyptychus ancylus but: Ostium bursae flanked by a pair of slightly crooked, strongly divergent, sharply pointed processes that greatly exceed the posterior margin of the lamella postvaginalis.
