Nyceryx alophus (Boisduval, [1875])

Proposed as a "modification locale" of Perigonia nephus. Raised to species status and transferred to Nyceryx by Rothschild & Jordan, 1903, Novit. zool.9 (suppl.): 416 (key), 421. d'Abrera, [1987], Sphingidae Mundi: 110, believed that the male genitalia differences observed by Rothschild & Jordan between this species and N. nephus were just individual variation and that the two species were synonymous.
