Nyceryx nephus
Forewing upperside very similar to Nyceryx alophus alophus. Forewing underside with discal areas pale brown the between lines. Hindwing upperside with marginal band broader than in Nyceryx alophus alophus with traces of brown spots.
Male genitalia: Juxta differs from Nyceryx alophus alophus in that there is no small process but only one long process on each side, this broader apically than in Nyceryx alophus alophus and close to the juxta. Harpe acuminate, upper margin distally oblique. Phallus with left ridge ending abruptly distally, not evenly rounded; setae of the right side on a small ridge; whip rather longer than in Nyceryx alophus alophus, with more setae.
The type locality is unknown beyond "Brazil". However, Haxaire & Mielke ([2020]: 147) (STI 22136) reported a specimen that matched the holotype from Boca de Mato, Cachoeiras de Macacu, Rio de Janeiro.
