Perigonia manni Clark, 1935

Very similar to Perigonia lefebvraei but upperside generally grey (rather than brown), and forewing apex and tornus more produced and distal margin more distinctly convex (thus resembling Perigonia passerina). Forewing upperside with antemedian transverse line reaching costal margin more apically than in Perigonia lefebvraei, so making a more acute angle with the margin; a dark triangular area, with its tip on the costal margin and its base 4 mm basad of the tornus on the hind margin, borders the antemedian line distally (absent in Perigonia lefebvraei); a shallow dark triangular area along the distal margin of the wing of Perigonia lefebvraei is absent in Perigonia manni, being represented by only a few dark scales. Basal half of forewing underside dark, contrasting with the lighter apical area (in Perigonia lefebvraei it is unicolorous apart from a light distal marginal border); distal marginal border less distinct, almost disappearing posteriorly (clearly defined in Perigonia lefebvraei). Medial patch of hindwing upperside orange-yellow (more yellow in Perigonia lefebvraei); tornal grey area more extensive than in Perigonia lefebvraei. Medial and postmedial transverse lines of hindwing underside well marked (faint in Perigonia lefebvraei). Male FWL: 24 mm.

Male genitalia: Similar to Perigonia lefebvraei but: Uncus narrower, with terminal hook slightly longer. Gnathos only slightly curved at the apex (inwardly curved at a right angle in Perigonia lefebvraei). Valve shoe-shaped (uniformly curved towards the centre in Perigonia lefebvraei).
