Type data:
HOLOTYPE [♂] [Australia: Queensland], Cape York (Macgillivray) [NHMUK]. Butler stated that this species was the taxon referred to by Walker, 1856, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 8: 210, as "Macrosila casuarinae var." It is paralectotype "c" of Macrosila casuarinae.
