Cephonodes tamsi
Diagnostic description:
Very similar to Cephonodes trochilus but distinguishable by the reddish rather than brownish upperside to the abdomen and the white centres to the abdominal segments below. Upperside of head, thorax and wing bases unicolorous green; abdomen uniformly reddish. Underside of abdominal segments medially white and laterally pale yellow, separated by black. Uncus with two lobes.
Male genitalia: Gnathos slightly bent towards uncus, notched on its inner extremity. Valves asymmetrical; left valve an atrophied oval; right valve twice as broad. Juxta conical. Phallus long and fine.
